I rarely have time to deep clean my house, because I’m too busy. If I had all the time in the world, this is what I’d do for a week.

1. apply wd-40 to door and cabinet hinges
2. arrange, organize
3. clean counter tops
4. clean doors, doorknobs
5. clean exterior cabinets
6. clean exterior refrigerator
7. clean floor behind refrigerator, stove
8. clean glass and mirrors
9. clean interior closets
10. clean interior cupboards, cabinets
11. clean interior oven
12. clean light fixtures, chandeliers
13. clean light switches
14. clean sinks, fixtures, drains
15. clean small appliances (popcorn maker, hand mixer, food processor)
16. clean stove burners, stove surface
17. clean stove interior (underneath burners)
18. clean tub, toilet
19. clean windows, sills, ledges
20. donate or dispose of unused items
21. dust and shine plants
22. dust artwork, decor, and books
23. dust furniture surfaces
24. empty trash, recycling
25. oil cabinets and woodwork with lemon oil
26. replace linens
27. vacuum closet flooring
28. vacuum fabric furniture
29. vacuum fireplace
30. vacuum living room floor
31. wash baseboards, trim, and window sills
32. wash blinds
33. wash interior refrigerator/freezer
34. wash kitchen and bathroom floors
35. wash trash cans
36. wash walls

Will it win me new friends or spark useful insights? Probably not. But, at the end of that week, I would collapse in an exhausted, satisfied heap.
